Episode 209: Indonesia’s “Jeffrey Dahmer” - Serial Killer Very Idham Henyansyah
In the summer of 2009, there were whispers around South Korea. A Korean blogger had gone out to the woods and came back traumatized. They had seen something in the woods they shouldn’t have.
They called it “The Mimic” and it is NOT human. It has no human emotions, no human empathy, but it sounds just like a human. It can mimic anyone’s voice to lure you into their web of death.
It sounds like an urban legend, right? But there are people amongst us that do the same thing. They do not feel love, empathy, and have no care for others but they are so convincing in their acting you would never know. They feel nothing yet you feel like you can trust them. That is the story of the Indonesian Jeffrey Dahmer.

The documentary is a great watch. It was really well done. There were interviews with experts, there were tons of real- life photos and videos of Ryan’s home and crime scenes. But arguably the best part of the documentary were the interviews with Ryan himself. It was super interesting to watch him and listen to him talk about his life.
