Episode 72: The Body In The FBI Agent’s Trunk (Case of Mark Putnam & Susan Smith)

The hardworking FBI agent was on his way to a meeting when he noticed the large crack on the passenger window of his car. How is he going to explain that?

He had a lie for the large wound on his hand. What about the deep scratches all over his neck? Surely he could come up with something.

Now the only thing left to take care of - was the decomposing body in his trunk.

Nothing an FBI agent can’t handle.

Source notes:

Book - “Above Suspicion: An Undercover FBI agent, an Illicit Affair, and a Murder of Passion” - by Joe Sharkey

^this book is amazing - the author did lengthy interviews with many key people involved and his writing talent is off the charts.

I do believe since he did have a close relationship with a lot of them - he was a teeny tiny bit biased in favor of Mark (not of his innocence but rather that it was a crime of passion) but overall I’m blown away with how immersed I was in this read. I highly recommend it.
